Are there any guidelines as to what is acceptable to upload to Mendr? 

A good rule of thumb is to keep it ‘PG 13.’ No nudity (including wardrobe malfunctions) or graphic depictions of violence is allowed within Mendr.

What is the Editor’s Touch option?

Editor’s touch is an edit request that allows our professional editors to decide what type of editing needs to be done to make a photo better, overall. For example: lighting, teeth whitening, noise/grain reduction, etc.

What is the Tailor edit option?

A tailor edit request is the option you should select if you want to specify exactly what you want done to your photo. You can add/remove objects, swap the background, make slight body adjustments, and a variety of other options. If you select “Tailor”, be sure to leave clear and concise comments with each edit option you add to your photo. The clearer you are, the more likely you are to receive an edit you love.

What is a merge photo?

A merge photo allows you to add elements from another picture into yours. For example: Swap a crying baby’s face with a smiling baby’s face.

What is a reference photo?

A reference photo allows you to show an editor an element you like from another photo in hopes they can recreate it. For example: If your favorite fashion blogger’s pictures all have the same filter and you can’t seem to find the right one, allow our editors to recreate the look simply by uploading a reference photo.

What is chalking?

Chalking gives you the ability to circle the parts of your photo that you want edited.

How do I cancel a “Tailor” edit request (before sending the photo off to the editors)?

In order to cancel a “Tailor” edit request, select “Mendr” at the top of the app, then select “close this edit”.

My photo didn’t auto-save. How do I get my photo?

If for some reason your photo didn’t auto save, click MENDR on the top bar and then click settings. You will see last 72 hours of photos. Click “Last 72 hours of photos” and you will see every finished picture within in the last 72 hours.

How do I request a revision?

You can request a revision for any “Tailor” edits you receive. Whenever you receive the first edit, click on the comment bubble at the lower right corner. When you click on the comment bubble, you will see a comment box pop up at the bottom of the edited photo. Within that comment box, there is an option to select a revision request.

How do I flag an edited photo?

To flag an Editor’s Touch, click the comment button in the bottom right hand corner of the ‘Finish’ screen and then click the flag. For a Tailor, you must attempt to fix the problem by submitting comments for the editor to revise the photo. Only once you get back the revised version can you go to the bottom right hand corner of the ‘Finish’ screen and flag the photo.

How do I get a refund for a picture?

You request a refund by flagging the photo. Once a photo is flagged it will be promptly reviewed. Please note that if a photo doesn’t turn out the way a user wanted because the user wasn’t specific enough in their request, we cannot refund the photo.

How do I send a photo directly to a specific Editor (we call this a Direct Edit)?

If you click the receipt in the top left-hand corner, you will see “Your Editor: Mendr Matched.” If you click on “Mendr Matched,” you will be see a search bar that allows you to search for specific editors by username.

What is the editor’s showcase?

Editor’s showcase is where our editors can show off their favorite before and after photo that represents the work that they do best. You can also see the edit requests in the top right corner and their direct edit fee in the top left corner.
